Back in January, I mentioned a free acting workshop I took that really opened my eyes to some of the limiting beliefs I had about myself. It was great—and maybe a little painful—to become aware of the fact that, in many ways, I was the one holding myself back. But that awareness left me with one big question: What next?

I knew I needed to change the way I was thinking, but I didn’t know how to connect the dots between recognizing those detrimental thoughts and actually replacing them with more productive ones.

This past month, I worked through Amy Jo Berman’s Wicked Cool Confidence, and it truly bridged that gap for me. I’m still working through some of those unhelpful foundational thoughts, but I’ve already noticed some pretty amazing changes:

✨ More confidence when working on auditions. (I thought I already had confidence, but…not like this.)

✨ The ability to actually enjoy performing instead of constantly remembering all the technical things I need to accomplish.

✨ A lightness about the possibilities of my day—not just with acting, but with life in general.

It has been amazing to see what I can do when I allow myself to just be.

I’m still learning. Still working through things. Still catching myself when those old thoughts creep in. But now I have the tools to recognize them, redirect them, and keep moving forward. And honestly? That feels refreshing!
